Second Stage Round 6: FMP BG - Zadar 85-55

Everything could happen in Belgrade at the game between two tied teams. Both first ranked SerbianFMP BG and second-best Croatian Zadar had identical 9-12 record. This time FMP BG used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Zadar 85-55 on Tuesday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. FMP BG outrebounded Zadar 40-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Guard Lazar Stefanovic (201-2002, college: UCLA) scored 16 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Joshua Scott (185-1998, college: Thomas Univ.) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four FMP BG players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Lovro Mazalin (204-1997) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Montenegrin point guard Vladimir Mihailovic (193-1990) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FMP BG have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-12 record. Defending Croatian champion Zadar keeps the second place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Mega BG.
